Physical Therapist, Certified Athletic & Personal Trainer


Brian Magna is a highly regarded physical therapist and a certified athletic trainer practicing in the Farmington Valley for over 20 years.  Brian holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Institute of Health in Louisville, Kentucky, as well as a Masters Degree in sports medicine from Western Michigan University and physical therapy degree from the University of Connecticut. 

Brian's expertise lies in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions of all athletes, with specific training on golf related injuries.  Brian has served as a physical therapist on the LPGA & PGA Tours from 2000-2004, as well as the U.S. Solheim Cup therapist in 2002 in Edina, Minnesota and 2003 in Malmo, Sweden.

Brian believes that examining the golfer’s body from a biomechanical-medical perspective and implementing a personalized fitness program specifically designed to maximize movement will improve overall efficiency and positively affect player results.

Brian has worked with numerous high level junior and collegiate players,  PGA teaching professionals and professional golfers including:  Annika  Sorenstam,  Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia,  Meg Mallon, Si-Re Pak,  Beth Daniel,  Padraig Harrington,  Fuzzy Zoeller, Julie Inkster, Christie Kerr, Heather Daly-Donofrio,  Brad Faxon, Laura Diaz,  Mike Weir and many more.

Suzy Whaley Golf Fitness Packages

I.            Golf Fitness Evaluation - $75.00

One hour evaluation session to include: 

Ø    Musculoskeletal Testing

Ø    Balance & Flexibility Assessment

Ø    Golf Movement Analysis

Ø    Personalized Fitness Report


II.         Golf Fitness Package - $325.00

                 One hour evaluation session to include:

Ø    Musculoskeletal Testing

Ø    Balance & Flexibility Assessment

Ø    Golf Movement Analysis

Ø    Personalized Fitness Report

                 One and one half hour Implementation Session -  

Using the results from your initial evaluation session, we will create and implement a personalized fitness program based on your body’s natural flow of movement.  The program will focus on strength, posture, balance, flexibility, swing type as well as assessing and defining your personal goals. 

               Six-Week Program Re-Evaluation –

Ø    Evaluation of current fitness and possible deficit levels

Ø    Establish new physical and performance goals

Ø    Re-establish conditioning program

Three month gym membership – membership includes unlimited use of all fitness equipment including: stationary bikes, elliptical machine, treadmill, free-weights, resistance bands and kettle bells.

Fitness Boosters – package enhancement options:

1.     One-on-One Personal Training:

1 x per week for 4 weeks = $240.00 additional

2 x per week for 4 weeks = $455.00 additional


2.      Personal Training & Pilates Combo - $305.00 additional

Personal Training - 1x per week for 4 weeks

Pilates – 1 weekly class for 4 weeks
